Bomb used to hit Gaza hospital solely in possession of Israel: Iran FM

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has said the Israeli regime is deliberately targeting Palestinian civilians, stressing that the bomb used to strike a hospital in central Gaza is solely in the possession of the Israeli military.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks on Wednesday during a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, on the sidelines of an extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.

Iran’s top diplomat reiterated the need for the OIC member states to send a strong message to the Zionist regime, which has killed over 3,400 Palestinians in 12 days of incessant bombing of residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in besieged Gaza.

Amirabdollahian insisted that Israeli "war crimes" in Gaza must immediately be stopped.

“Through its complete blockade of Gaza and cutting off water, electricity, fuel, food, and medicine and attacking hospitals, the Zionist regime has decided to massacre Palestinians and commit genocide,” he stated.

In one of its worst attacks on Palestinian civilians, the Israeli regime on Tuesday bombed al-Ahli al-Arab Hospital, also known as the Baptist Hospital, in central Gaza,  killing  more than 500 Palestinians.
